Switch-ivy, also known as Hedera helix or common ivy, is a species of flowering plant in the family Araliaceae, native to most of Europe and western Asia. It is a climbing, evergreen plant that grows on trees, buildings, and even on ground level. The plant has dark, glossy, green leaves and produces small, yellow-green flowers followed by black berries.
