Throw-in in Soccer. The method by which play is restarted when the ball goes out of play by crossing the touch-line at the sides of the pitch. The throw-in is awarded to the opposing team from the one whose player put the ball out of play. Play is restarted by a player throwing the ball over his head using both hands together. His feet must remain behind the line and on the ground.
