MTU
Stands for Maximum Transmission Unit. MTU is a networking term that defines the largest packet size that can be sent over a network connection. The MTU is typically limited by the type of connection, but may sometimes be adjusted in a computers network settings. Because a higher MTU allows for more data to be transferred at once, connections with high MTUs typically have more bandwidth than connections with lower MTUs.
For example, the MTU of an Ethernet connection is 1500 bytes. If a system sends packets over an Ethernet network that are larger than 1500 bytes, the data will be fragmented into smaller packets. These packets will then need to be reassembled on the receiving computer. Fortunately, the receiving computer does this automatically. However, it may cause a slowdown in the overall data transfer. Since the majority of computers connected to the Internet go through an Ethernet connection at some point, most computers have a default MTU setting of 1500 bytes. -
Mebibyte
A mebibyte is a unit of data storage that equals 2 to the 20th power, or 1,048,576 bytes.
While a megabyte can be estimated as 10^6 or 1,000,000 bytes, a mebibyte is exactly 1,048,576 bytes. This is to avoid the ambiguity associated with the size of megabytes. A mebibyte is 1,024 kibibytes and precedes the gibibyte unit of measurement.

A Backpacker is just a person who think Rap and Hip-Hop are two different genres. Thinking Rap is about self indulgent wanna be gangstas with a need to show of their shopping list and contribute nothing to the music industry but their idiotic thug life ideals. They put all forms of support into Hip-Hop and just love good music in general.
They also love all/participate in all/most sub-cultures of Hip-Hop including the main five elements: Emceeing, DeeJaying (Turntabilism), Graffiti, B-Boying (Breakdancing), and Beatboxing.

Joystick
A joystick is an input device commonly used to control video games. Joysticks consist of a base and a stick that can be moved in any direction. The stick can be moved slowly or quickly and in different amounts. Some joysticks have sticks that can also be rotated to the left or right. Because of the flexible movements a joystick allows, it can provide much greater control than the keys on a keyboard.
Joysticks typically include several buttons as well. Most joysticks have at least one button on the top of the stick and another button in the front of the stick for the trigger. Many joysticks also include other buttons on the base that can be pressed using the hand that is not guiding the stick. Joysticks typically connect to your computer using a basic USB or serial port connection and often come with software that allows you to assign the function of each button.
Since joysticks emulate the controls of planes and other aircraft, they are best suited for flight simulators and flying action games. However, some gamers like to use joysticks for other types of video games, such as first-person shooters and fighting games. Others prefer using the basic keyboard and mouse, with which they are already accustomed to. -
Interactive Video
Interactive video (also known as IV) is a type of digital video that supports user interaction. These videos play like regular video files, but include clickable areas, or hotspots, that perform an action when you click on them. For example, when you click on a hotspot, the video may display information about the object you clicked on, jump to a different part of the video, or open another video file.
Interactive videos are common on YouTube, a popular video sharing website. They allow you to select one or more options while the video is playing. For example, towards the end of a video, you may be asked to select which character in the video you liked best. Once you make your choice, a new video will open and may provide more information about the character you selected. Other examples of interactive videos include card tricks, choose your own adventure videos, and interactive tutorials.
You can create an interactive video in YouTube by using YouTubes Annotations feature. This tool allows you to overlay content on top of the video and create clickable hotspots. If you add interactive content to your video, it is helpful to include a few extra seconds of decision time that allows the user to make his or her selection. It is also important to make sure each clickable option links to another live video file on YouTube.

IIS
Stands for Internet Information Services. IIS is a web server software package designed for Windows Server. It is used for hosting websites and other content on the Web.
Microsoft’s Internet Information Services provides a graphical user interface (GUI) for managing websites and the associated users. It provides a visual means of creating, configuring, and publishing sites on the web. The IIS Manager tool allows web administrators to modify website options, such as default pages, error pages, logging settings, security settings, and performance optimizations.
IIS can serve both standard HTML webpages and dynamic webpages, such as ASP.NET applications and PHP pages. When a visitor accesses a page on a static website, IIS simply sends the HTML and associated images to the user’s browser. When a page on a dynamic website is accessed, IIS runs any applications and processes any scripts contained in the page, then sends the resulting data to the user’s browser.
While IIS includes all the features necessary to host a website, it also supports extensions (or “modules”) that add extra functionality to the server. For example, the WinCache Extension enables PHP scripts to run faster by caching PHP processes. The URL Rewrite module allows webmasters to publish pages with friendly URLs that are easier for visitors to type and remember. A streaming extension can be installed to provide streaming media to website visitors.
IIS is a popular option for commercial websites, since it offers many advanced features and is supported by Microsoft. However, it also requires requires a commercial license and the pricing increases depending on the number of users. Therefore, Apache HTTP Server, which is open source and free for unlimited users, remains the most popular web server software. -

Hexadecimal
Hexadecimal is a base-16 number system. It is a different method of representing numbers than the base-10 system we use in every day practice. In base-10, we count in multiples of 10 before adding another digit. For example, 8 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 12... and 98 - 99 - 100 - 101 - 102... Notice how a new digit is added when the number 10 is reached, and another digit is added to represent 100 (10x10). In base-16, or the hexadecimal number system, each digit can have sixteen values instead of ten. The values of a hexadecimal digit can be:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F
Therefore, the number 12 (in the common base-10 format) would be represented as C in hexadecimal notation. The number 24 would be 18 (16 8). 100 is 64 in hexadecimal (16x6 4) and 1000 is 3E8 (256x3 16x14 8).
While computers process numbers using the base-2, or binary system, it is often more efficient to visually represent the numbers in hexadecimal format. This is because it only takes one hexadecimal digit to represent four binary digits. Since there are eight binary digits in a byte, only two hexadecimal digits are needed to represent one byte. -

In the real world, a handshake is a customary greeting between two people. Similarly, a computer handshake serves as a greeting between two computer systems. It is commonly used to initialize a network connection between two hosts.
A computer handshake may be completed between any two systems that communicate with each other on the same protocol. The two systems may be a client and server or simply two computers on a P2P network. The handshake confirms the identities of the connecting systems and allows additional communication to take place.

The goal of Google Drive is to provide a central place to store your files online so that you can access them from anywhere. Additionally, you can access your Google Drive from multiple devices, since the software is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Android, and iOS platforms. The service also provides a web-based interface that allows you to organize your files and search for documents by filename or content.
Besides online file storage, Google Drive provides tools for sharing files and collaborating on projects with other users over the Web. For example, instead of emailing large attachments, you can send links to the files from your Google Drive to one or more users. You can also use the web-based Google Docs applications to create or edit documents online. When you share a document with other Google Drive users, everyone can view and edit the document at the same time.
Google Drive allows you to view over 30 file types directly in your web browser. Font Case
Font case describes how characters are capitalized within a word or phrase. Font refers to the typeface used to display the letters, while case refers to the capitalization of each letter. The following are examples of different font cases, displayed in the corresponding style.
Different font cases are appropriate for different applications. For example, sentence case is the grammatically correct way to type a sentence. Title case is used for proper names and titles of articles. Upper case (also uppercase or all caps) can be used to bring attention to a specific word or phrase. Lower case (also lowercase) is commonly used in online chat and text messaging since it provides a faster way to type messages. Toggle case is commonly used to modify to appearance of a handle or online identity, such as an eSports player name. CamelCase is a standard naming convention used in programming languages.
It is important to pay attention to font case when communicating with others. For example, while lower case may be acceptable in an SMS text message, it is considered unprofessional to use lower case when corresponding via email. Typing multiple words in upper case makes it SEEM LIKE YOU ARE SHOUTING. Therefore, keeping caps lock off and using the Shift key appropriately will help you communicate more effectively.
NOTE: In Mac OS X, you can select Edit → Transformations while working in a text editor to apply a specific font case to a block of selected text. Options include Make Upper Case, Make Lower Case, and Capitalize (which transforms the selected text to title case). -
File Type
A file type is a name given to a specific kind of file. For example, a Microsoft Word document and an Adobe Photoshop document are two different file types. While these file types are associated with individual applications, other file types, such as rich text RTF files and MP3 audio files are standard file types that can be opened by multiple programs.
The terms file type and file format are often used interchangeably. However, a file format technically describes the structure and content of a file. For example, the file type of an image file saved using JPEG compression may be defined as a JPEG image file. The file format might be described as a binary file that contains a file header, metadata, and compressed bitmap image data.
Each file type has one or more corresponding file extensions. For example, JPEG image files may be saved with a .JPG or .JPEG extension, while Adobe Photoshop image files are saved with a .PSD extension. The file extension appended to the end of each filename provides a simple way of identifying the file type of each file. File extensions are also used by the operating system to associate file types with specific programs. The relationships between file types and programs are called file associations and define what program opens each file type by default.

An end user is the person that a software program or hardware device is designed for. The term is based on the idea that the end goal of a software or hardware product is to be useful to the consumer. The end user can be contrasted with the developers or programmers of the product. End users are also in a separate group from the installers or administrators of the product.
To simplify, the end user is the person who uses the software or hardware after it has been fully developed, marketed, and installed. It is also the person who keeps calling the IT guy with questions about why the product isnt working correctly. Generally, the terms user and end user mean the same thing. -
Dot Pitch
Dot pitch, or pixel pitch, is a measurement that defines the sharpness of a display. It measures the distance between the dots used to display the image on the screen. This distance is very small and is typically measured in fractions of millimeters. The smaller the dot pitch, the sharper the picture.
Dot pitch applies to both CRT monitors and flat-screen displays. While some large-screen CRTs have dot-pitches as high as 0.51 mm, most computer displays have a dot pitch between 0.25 and 0.28 mm. Similarly, most LCD displays have a dot pitch between 0.20 and 0.28 mm. Some high-end displays used for scientific or medical imagery have dot pitches as low as 0.15 mm. These displays usually cost several times as much as consumer displays of the same size.
While the terms dot pitch and resolution are related, they have different meanings. A displays resolution refers to how many pixels can be displayed on the screen. For example, a 20 monitor may have a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels. When a display is set to its native resolution (typically the maximum resolution), it may display exactly one pixel per dot. However, if the resolution is reduced, the pixels will be larger than the dots used to display the image on the screen. In this case, each pixel is mapped onto multiple dots. -

Perhaps the most prominent form of cybercrime is identity theft, in which criminals use the Internet to steal personal information from other users. Two of the most common ways this is done is through phishing and pharming. Both of these methods lure users to fake websites (that appear to be legitimate), where they are asked to enter personal information. This includes login information, such as usernames and passwords, phone numbers, addresses, credit card numbers, bank account numbers, and other information criminals can use to steal another persons identity. For this reason, it is smart to always check the URL or Web address of a site to make sure it is legitimate before entering your personal information.
Because cybercrime covers such a broad scope of criminal activity, the examples above are only a few of the thousands of crimes that are considered cybercrimes. While computers and the Internet have made our lives easier in many ways, it is unfortunate that people also use these technologies to take advantage of others. Therefore, it is smart to protect yourself by using antivirus and spyware blocking software and being careful where you enter your personal information. -

A compiler is a software program that compiles program source code files into an executable program. It is included as part of the integrated development environment IDE with most programming software packages.
The compiler takes source code files that are written in a high-level language, such as C, BASIC, or Java, and compiles the code into a low-level language, such as machine code or assembly code. This code is created for a specific processor type, such as and Intel Pentium or PowerPC. The program can then be recognized by the processor and run from the operating system.
After a compiler compiles source code files into a program, the program cannot be modified. Therefore, any changes must be made in the source code and the program must be recompiled. Fortunately, most modern compilers can detect what changes were made and only need to recompile the modified files, which saves programmers a lot of time. This can help reduce programmers 100 hour work weeks before project deadlines to around 90 or so.
