Yottabyte
A yottabyte is 1024 or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes.
One yottabyte (abbreviated YB) is equal to 1,000 zettabytes and is the largest SI unit of measurement used for measuring data. It is slightly smaller than its IEC-standardized counterpart, the yobibyte, which contains 1,208,925,819,614,629,174,706,176 bytes (280) bytes.
A single yottabyte contains one septillion, or one trillion times one trillion bytes, which is the same as one trillion terabytes. It is also a number larger than any human can comprehend. There is no need for a unit of measurement larger than a yottabyte because there is simply no practical use for such a large measurement. Even all the data in the world consists of just a few zettabytes.

White Balance
White balance is a feature many digital cameras and video cameras use to accurately balance color. It defines what the color white looks like in specific lighting conditions, which also affects the hue of all other colors. Therefore, when the white balance is off, digital photos and recordings may appear to have a certain hue cast over the image. For example, fluorescent lights may cause images to have a greenish hue, while pictures taken on a cloudy day may have a blue tint.
Since different types of lighting affect the way a cameras sensor captures color, most digital cameras and camcorders include an auto white balance (AWB) setting. The AWB setting automatically adjusts the white balance when capturing a photo or recording video. However, this setting may not always provide the most accurate color. Therefore, many cameras and camcorders also include preset white balance settings for different lighting conditions. Common options include fluorescent light, tungsten light (for typical indoor lighting), cloudy conditions, bright sunlight, and camera flash. By choosing the appropriate white balance preset, you may be able to capture pictures with more accurate color.
Some high-end cameras and camcorders also include a custom white balance option. This feature allows you to take a sample of a white object, such as a white wall or a piece of paper, within the current lighting conditions. By manually setting the white balance to the white color within the sample image, you can set the white balance with a high degree of accuracy. Of course, if you find out you have already taken several photos with the incorrect white balance setting, you can adjust the color afterwards with an image editing program.
Some digital video cameras also include a black balance setting, which is used to define how black should appear in the current lighting conditions. However, this setting is used far less commonly than white balance. -

For example, investment, real estate, and banking programs are all vertical market software applications because they are only used by a specific group of people. Scientific analysis programs, screenplay writing programs, and programs used by medical professionals are also vertical market software because they cater to a specific audience. There is typically not a lot of competition in vertical markets, but it can still be a risky industry since developers are highly dependent on specific clients to buy their products. The opposite of vertical market software is horizontal market software, which is developed for the general public or multiple industries. -

Troubleshooting is the process of diagnosing the source of a problem. It is used to fix problems with hardware, software, and many other products. The basic theory of troubleshooting is that you start with the most general (and often most obvious) possible problems, and then narrow it down to more specific issues.
Many product manuals have a Troubleshooting section in the back of the manual. This section contains a list of potential problems, which are often phrased in the form of a question. For example, if your your computers monitor is not producing an image, you may be asked to answer the following troubleshooting questions:
Troubleshooting is something we all have to do at some point, though some of us have to troubleshoot product problems more often than others. The good news is that, the more you do it, the more you learn and the better you get at fixing problems. Since many products have similar troubleshooting steps, you may find that after awhile, you dont even need the manual to find solutions to the problems you encounter.

Thick Client
Thick clients, also called heavy clients, are full-featured computers that are connected to a network. Unlike thin clients, which lack hard drives and other features, thick clients are functional whether they are connected to a network or not.
While a thick client is fully functional without a network connection, it is only a client when it is connected to a server. The server may provide the thick client with programs and files that are not stored on the local machines hard drive. It is not uncommon for workplaces to provide thick clients to their employees. This enables them to access files on a local server or use the computers offline. When a thick client is disconnected from the network, it is often referred to as a workstation. -
Swap File
A swap file is a file that contains data retrieved from system memory, or RAM. By transferring data from RAM to a secondary storage device in the form of a swap file, a computer is able to free up memory for other programs.
Swap files are a type of virtual memory, since they are not stored in physical RAM. They extend the amount of available memory a computer can access by swapping memory used by idle processes from RAM to a swap file. This action is also called paging and is a common type of memory management. When swapped memory is needed by a program, the data from the swap file is paged back into physical memory.
While swap files are a convenient way to increase the amount of available system memory, they can also decrease system performance. For instance, if a computer is using nearly all of its physical memory, the system may need to frequently swap data between RAM and swap files. Since reading data from a secondary storage device (such as an HDD or SSD) is much slower than accessing RAM, repeatedly swapping memory may cause noticeable delays.
Swap files are automatically created, accessed, and deleted by the operating system, which means you dont have to worry about maintaining them. However, if you notice your computer is slowing down when you switch between programs, it may indicate your computer is running low on system memory and is frequently swapping memory. You can temporarily alleviate this problem by closing unused programs. The best long term solution is to add more RAM.
