Harakat ul-Jihad-i-Islami (HuJI) is an Islamic fundamentalist militant group based in Pakistan. It was formed in the 1980s, during the Soviet-Afghan war, with the aim of participating in the Jihad against the Soviets. The group is primarily active in Pakistan and Bangladesh, but has also conducted operations in India. HuJIs main objective is to establish Islamic rule in the Indian subcontinent through armed struggle. The group has been involved in several high-profile terrorist attacks and has been designated a terrorist organization by many countries, including the US, UK, and EU.
