              To pitch in money in order to use some form of contraband, could be:

              1. Marijuana
              2. Alcohol

              When smoking marijuana it is not uncommon for one person of a group of many to provide the dope and smoke the rest while they 'pitch' money in.

                          Pitch in Soccer. The pitch is rectangular and must be 50-100yd wide and 100-130yd long. There is a goal and marked-out goal area in the middle of each end of the pitch.
