A striped racer, also known as the California whipsnake, is a species of non-venomous snake native to the coast and foothills of California. It is a long, slender, and fast-moving snake, identified by its distinctive stripes running down the length of its body. They primarily feed on lizards and small rodents. The scientific name for this species is Masticophis lateralis.

A kickass, high powered rock and roll horn band from [Sonora], California. The band was started in 2007 after a jam session in the trombone players living room, and has since grown to a [10-piece] musical force to be reckoned with! They play a variety of styles, including rock, blues, soul, and RB.
The band includes a rockin rhythm section (bass, drums, guitar, and piano), a powerful horn section (trombone, saxophone, and two trumpets) as well as two fabulous, versatile female lead singers.
Chains Required is a Tuolumne County favorite. They have been featured at events such as the Mother [Lode] Fair, Sonora Magic of the Night Festival, Concerts in the Park on numerous outdoor stages, and the 2009 Sonora [Blues Festival], as well as countless restaurants, private parties/weddings, and other local events. If you see them perform, you wont be able to keep yourself from dancing, whether its in your chair or out on the dance floor!
