The nickname given to Sirius Black by his friends while in [animagus] form. Sirius took the form of a large black dog and was given the nickname Padfoot by his friends because of the dogs padded feet.
Sirius fought in the first Wizarding War in the Order of the Phoenix alongside his friends, but was later blamed for the death of James and [Lily Potter] and sent to Azkaban, to which he later escaped 12 years later.
Black dies by the hand of his cousin Bellatrix Lestrange and is pushed into the Veil by one of her curses.
Some other nicknames that Sirius has are: Black, [Snuffles] (by Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger)
