A lunisolar system or calendar is a type of calendar that is based on both lunar and solar cycles, meaning it accounts for the phases of the moon and the position of the Sun. This means that the dates indicate both the moon phase and the time of the solar year. It is used in many traditional calendars around the world, including the Hebrew, Chinese, and Hindu calendars.
