Any plant of the genus Saxifraga, mostly perennial herbsgrowing in crevices of rocks in mountainous regions. Burnetsaxifrage, a European umbelliferous plant (Pimpinella Saxifraga).-- Golden saxifrage, a low half-sacculent herb (Chrysospleniumoppositifolium) growing in rivulets in Europe; also, C.
