    • RE: erithacus

The robins are small passerine birds comprising the genus Erithacus. They were formerly classed as members of the thrush family, but now considered to be Old World flycatchers of the chat subfamily.
The vernacular name robin is also applied to some other chats, as well as certain thrushes and some unrelated songbirds; see Robin#Birds.
The three or four species presently placed here are:
      ⁕European Robin, Erithacus rubecula
      ⁕Tenerife Robin, Erithacus superbus
      ⁕Japanese Robin, Erithacus akahige
      ⁕Ryukyu Robin, Erithacus komadori
The two Asian species were formerly considered to be members of the genus Luscinia; apparently, both genera need to be split and rearranged. The European species would then be the only remaining Erithacus, whereas the East Asian species are closely related to some species from the region now classed as Luscinia, for example the Siberian Blue Robin and would form a new genus.
These species are stocky small birds with an upright stance and short frequently cocked tail. They have a plain brown back, and a red or black face and breast contrasting with whitish or grey underparts. The females of the Asian species are much duller than the males, but in the European Robin differences between the sexes are minimal and restricted to the shape of the boundary between the red and brown plumage on the forehead.

    • RE: niff

Notation Interchange File Format (NIFF) is a music notation file format used primarily for transferring music notation between different scorewriters.
The NIFF project was started in February 1994 to create an open format that would allow exchange of music between various scanning / Optical music recognition, editing and typesetting programs. The project was sponsored by several music notation software publishers.
The NIFF format itself is based upon RIFF (Resource Interchange File Format), a file structure provided by Microsoft, in which data is divided into Lists, Chunks and Tags. Almost all data in a NIFF file are optional. The level of detail contained can range from just the pitch and timing (akin to MIDI) to a precise page layout, embedded graphics and embedded MIDI information.
Though detailed and comprehensive, the standard never really caught on except for limited interchange between Optical music recognition software and score writing software. Three of the Optical music recognition programs in widespread use – PhotoScore, SharpEye, and SmartScore – export NIFF files. NIFF is now considered obsolete mainly due to the MusicXML format. As of February 2006 the NIFF project web site has been closed. The NIFF SDK is available at The NIFF SDK Archive for educational usage.

It is a large evergreen coniferous tree that can grow up to 40-50m (130-165ft) tall, and occasionally even taller. The tree is characterized by a straight trunk, a symmetrical spire-like crown, needle-like leaves that are dark green on the top and silvery-white underneath, and cylindrical cones that stand erect on the branches. It is a popular choice for Christmas trees and is also commonly used for timber and paper production.

    • RE: Isothermal

In thermodynamics, an isothermal process is a type of thermodynamic process in which the temperature T of a system remains constant: ΔT = 0. This typically occurs when a system is in contact with an outside thermal reservoir, and a change in the system occurs slowly enough to allow the system to be continuously adjusted to the temperature of the reservoir through heat exchange (see quasi-equilibrium). In contrast, an adiabatic process is where a system exchanges no heat with its surroundings (Q = 0).
Simply, we can say that in an isothermal process

      T

      constant

      {\displaystyle T={\text{constant}}}

    • RE: Shorthorn

The Shorthorn breed of cattle originated in the North East of England in the late 18th century. The breed was developed as dual purpose, suitable for both dairy and beef production; however there were always certain blood lines within the breed which emphasised one quality or the other. Over time these different lines diverged and by the second half of the 20th century two separate breeds had developed - the Beef Shorthorn, and the Dairy Shorthorn. All Shorthorn cattle are coloured red, white or roan, although roan cattle are preferred by some, and completely white animals are not common. However, one type of Shorthorn has been bred to be consistently white – the Whitebred Shorthorn, which was developed to cross with black Galloway cattle to produce a popular blue roan crossbreed, the Blue Grey.
