Lamprey

An eel-like marsipobranch of the genus Petromyzon, and alliedgenera. The lampreys have a round, sucking mouth, without jaws, butset with numerous minute teeth, and one to three larger teeth on thepalate (see Illust. of Cyclostomi). An uncircumcised penis. So named because of the resemblance between the puckered-up foreskin at the end of the flaccid penis and the sucker mouth of a lamprey.
