It is considered by seamen as only fit to beused by lubbers. Totten.-- Lubber's line, point, or mark, a line or point in the compasscase indicating the head of the ship, and consequently the coursewhich the ship is steering.

      Short for landlubber, which in turn comes from land

        The word lubber is also used for a pre-tense of LOVE. It may be the starting of a relationship that hasn't been annoucned yet which claims themselves, lubbers.
