An ornamental tree of the genus Maclura (M. aurantiaca),closely allied to the mulberry (Morus); also, its fruit. The tree wasfirst found in the country of the Osage Indians, and bears a hard andinedible fruit of an orangelike appearance. See Bois d'arc.
