      Yeat has multiple meanings;

      a) A yeat is someone who is ignorant, naïve or just an idiot.

      b) It can also be said when something is Cool af
      c) Can be used to replace any word

          [Rumor has it] this was a Scandanavian Seafarers greeting.
          Often used in crowds to find other [port] residents, and interestingly, sometimes to calm uncomfortable violent situations among port residents. One group in possible conflict with another may yell [Yeat]! and if the other group responds in kind, the situation calms.

              In my opinion it’s an old word that some numpty has started to use to mean lots of things. What is wrong with you people just use yes or no or I like it or don’t like it, it takes thought and imagination to say “oh that’s awesome “ or “I totally believe you “ just ridiculous that people can’t say what they actually mean
