a French impressionist composer (Claude Debussy). He composed music that was atonal and thats obviously why the other person doesnt like him, but Debussy did not destroy classical music. Impressionism is just another branch of classical music and if you dont like it, thats your problem. Debussy composed many beautiful sounding pieces such as La Mer, Arabesque, Petite Suite, and many others. Compare to Ravel.

      Claude Achille Debussy
Dont compare to Ravel. Debussys melodies (or motifs) are superior to most highly influential composers. The reason music took a plunge after Debussy is because no one could do what he had done, and so the contemporary era begun with great rancor and imparity.
Most popular works are Prelude a lapres-midi dun faune, Claire de lune, Jeux de vagues from La Mer, Arabesque No. 1, Reverie, and La Fille aux cheveux de lin.

French impressionist composer who produced ill-sounding, structure-lacking, melody-absent underdeveloped pieces of insufficient crap.
