Fuzzy-haired black dolls with smiley red mouths made popular in childrens stories by Enid Blyton, such as Noddy. The toys were mass produced, and even golliwog biscuits were made! But alas, in recent politically correct years, golliwog numbers reduced, and were even banned in some areas because they were considered racist. Golliwog biscuits were renamed Scalliwags and the toys disappeared from toy store shelves. But the occasional golliwog can still be found in specialised teddy bear and doll shops, as well as hand knitted ones at market stalls.

A predominantly UK expression which originally was a childrens literature character and type of black doll but which eventually became to be used as a jibe against people with dark skin ([black people]), most commonly Afro-Caribbeans.

The Golliwogg was a black character in childrens books in the late 19th century usually depicted as a type of rag doll. It was produced as a childrens toy called the golliwog, and had great popularity in North America, Europe and Australia up to the 1970s. The doll is characterised by black skin, eyes rimmed in white, large red lips, and frizzy hair. In recent years, changing attitudes when it comes to race relations have greatly reduced the popularity and sales of golliwogs as toys. The Golliwogg is seen as a very racist depiction of black people in the same vein as Mammies , black face and Picaninnies. This , along with the fact that Wog is a pejorative term for people of african descent have made the Golliwogg a socially unacceptable toy.

A sexual manoeuvre predominantly for white people wherein, one, or both partners smear their own excrement over their face(s) and proceed to have anal intercourse. This is done in an attempt to look like the Golliwog dolls.

Usually a white man with a black face and white lips and sometimes sings with the word wah and a deep voice over-used, a bit like a [wigger] ([white boy]) as they are pretending be something there not and just looking plain stupid.
You used to be able collect little golimen tokens on the back of UK jam jars intill it was branded racially offensive and stopped in 2000 area. [Marilyn Manson] dressed up like a golliwog with mickey mouse ears on top (?) for his golden age album. Golliwogs are along the same rascit lines as darkie tooth paste, the laugthing nigger, gollimen and minstrels.
Personally Golliwogs scare the sheer shit out of me.
