A type of self-mutilation mainly practiced by emo people to punish themselves because everything is my fault..I am worthless..My girlfriend broke up with me..etc. Mostly people with a serious problem dont run around with a paper cut on their arm showing people to get attention..sympathy..what have you. Slit wrists is also a term used by rapper Eminem in a few of his songs such as Stan and When Im Gone.
