Haji is a title in Islam for one who has completed the pilgrimage to Mecca (a rite known as Haj), as dictated by Islamic faith.
It is most commonly used in an ironic manner toward Muslims who have not completed Haj, and has expanded to a general derogatory term for Arabs.
However the title is an honor to those who have completed Haj, and is not restricted to any single ethnicity.

We flew [over the berm] on 25 April 2003, got stuck south of Baghdad due too a 12 hour Shamal with a bunch of Marines, H-46 guys. Flew through Baghdad and West past Fallujah to a shit-hole called Al Taqaddum (TQ) on the 26th. In general conversation with some of the 101 KW guys the term Haji was used and the rest is history. Some of the better used terms were;
I Hate Haji - How to finish most radio transmissions.
Fishing Haji - Savage in a boat.
[Goatboy] Haji - Goat or Sheep Fucker, err herder.
Haji Arts and Crafts - Savages making IEDs (Improvised Explosive Device) some savages in a [mud hut] blew themselves up(said it was a gas leak).
Cataract Haji - Savage you cannot shoot, but can continue to Target Locate with the LRF(Laser Rangefinder) Laser [Hot Message] appears soon after.
