    a motivational word used in the U.S. Military, similar to the word [oorah] - often used when one is either too lazy or not motivated enough to say [oorah] or other popular word of motivation.

    used when in a large group of military members. When they shout a motivational term on cue, some may shout YUT! instead, and often in a sharp, awkward voice, just to stand out.

      Marine corps term derived in order to make fun of officers and the stupid things they say. Also used when agreeing to something when you have no idea what was said.

          New England origins > Vermont > Maine : loggers > fishermen > prospectors > hermits > etc.
          A slang word used as a substitute for yes or ok. Also a form of expression during extreme pleasure or agreeince. Commonly used by Appalacian Americans. Southern influences have added an s sound to the end, making it YUTssss. The s fading out in the end. This form can be used continuosly throughout a conversation or while mumbling or talking to oneself.

              YUT - You Undisciplined Thing! (Verb) Pronounced Ye-UT!

              (1) Used as a declaration of bullshit, or proclamation after stating the obvious. (2) Used at the beginning of a statement to Marines who dont know what to do or are generally clueless.

                  youth, a young man. yuts is for youths or a group of young men. Jamaican/West Indian short version or pronouncement.

                    @Sarah I was in the Corps for four years and never used the word "yut" or even heard of it used.....
