Overrated is a term used to describe something that has been exaggerated or made up in order to be more impressive. For example, if a teenager were to say that they can run faster than Usain Bolt, it might be considered overrated because the teenager has not actually run a race with Usain Bolt. Similarly, if someone were to say that they have a lot of friends, it might be considered overrated because the person has not actually made many new friends recently. In these cases, the term overrated is used to describe something that has been exaggerated or made up in order to impress others.
