      A wonderful pine smelling canabis that is grown in the mountains of Northern California. When smoked it gives the warm smell of christmas trees. The buds are long and very clean. Some of the best weed I have ever had the pleasure of smoking. It had a very strong level of THC and gave a powerful buzz. Back in 78 it was a hot comodity dont even know if it is still around.

        Featured in the song Hotel California by The Eagles, Colitas have been repeatedly defined by Don Henley and Don Felder as desert flowers, the Colita de Rata, or Wild Buckwheat.
        A perennial up to one foot [30.5 cm] tall, favoring dry rocky slopes, Wild buckwheat has a basal whorl of grayish spoon-shaped leaves. Creamy white flowers form in clusters on the stem.

              According to Irving Azoff (Eagles management),
              During the writing of the song Hotel California, by Don Henley and Glenn Frey, the word colitas was improperly translated for them by their Mexican-American road manager as little buds.
              Colitas is little tails, but here the author could also be hinting at colas, the tip of a marijuana branch, where it is more potent and with more sap — said to be the best part of the leaves.

                The Eagles are not saying colitas. They are saying Goletas - a town on the Southern California coast The warm smell of Goletas rising in the air.

                per wikipedia: Goleta ( /ɡəˈliːtə/; Spanish: [ɡoˈleta], schooner) is a city in southern Santa Barbara County, California, USA. It was incorporated as a city in 2002, after a long period as the largest unincorporated, populated area in the county. As of the 2000 census, the Census-designated place (CDP) had a total population of 55,204, however, a significant portion of the census territory of 2000 did not incorporate into the new city. The population was 29,888 at the 2010 census.
                It is known for being near the University of California, Santa Barbara campus, although the CDP of Isla Vista is closer.

                      @Mark-Zuckerberg said in Colitas:

                      Goleta
                      Goleta in Spanish would be pronounced Go-Lay-ta. It may be what you say but not the way to pronounce it in Spanish.

                        colita in relation to the song Hotel California. The definition of colita is little tails or its slang, referring to the burning of little marijuana buds. The word was improperly translated by the Eagles road manager as little buds. The definition of colita is confirmed by the Eagles management, who say that colita is a marajuana bud, long and very clean. It is a strong-smelling canaabis that gives the warm smell of Christmas trees. The songs lyrics also reference the burning of little marijuana buds, which is a slang term for the end of marijuana buds.
