The Titan Arum, also known as Amorphophallus titanum or the corpse flower, is a flowering plant native to western Sumatra and western Java, Indonesia. It is known for its large size, with the largest unbranched inflorescence (the complete flower head of a plant including stems, stalks, bracts, and flowers) in the world. It is also famous for its pungent odor, which is reminiscent of a decaying creature, hence the nickname corpse flower. The plant can reach heights of up to 10 feet and the bloom can last up to 48 hours before collapsing. It is considered a rare and endangered species in the wild.
