The group primarily includes the islands of Favignana, Levanzo, and Marettimo, along with several minor islands and islets. The Aegates Isles are known for their crystal-clear turquoise waters, beautiful beaches, and vibrant biodiversity, as well as being the site of the decisive naval Battle of the Egadi Islands in 241 BC during the First Punic War.
