Christians who believe that the return of Christ as promised in the New Testament (John 14:1-3, Matthew 24-25) is the next major event in the history of salvation. It continues today in several denominations, but most prominently the Seventh-day Adventist Church with some 25 million adherents worldwide in 2005.
