Nine-inning win in Baseball. If the visiting team completes nine innings and is ahead then the game is deemed to be over. If the home team is ahead after the visitors bat in the upper half of the ninth inning, then they are declared the winners. Alternatively the home team can win if they score in the bottom of the ninth inning after the winning play is finished.
