Disqualifications in Speed Skating. Skaters may be disqualified for interfering with another skater; intentionally moving or skating inside markers; ridiculing other skaters; delaying the start of an event; causing danger; unsportsmanlike conduct or not giving honest effort. A skater who is disqualified may not take any further part in the competition.
