A striped racer, also known as the California whipsnake, is a species of non-venomous snake native to the coast and foothills of California. It is a long, slender, and fast-moving snake, identified by its distinctive stripes running down the length of its body. They primarily feed on lizards and small rodents. The scientific name for this species is Masticophis lateralis.

Figure competition in Synchronized Swimming. All competitors perform the same four FINA (Federation lnternationale de Natation Amateur) figures before the same judges. Each figure is specified and require to be practiced for a long time. These figures include two compulsory figures, and the referee of the event will draw one group of two figures prior to the event. Each figure has a degree of difficulty attached to it to show the difference between the four figures to be performed. Each judge gives a mark out of 10 (marked in tenths).
