Wind assisted

Wind assisted in Track Events - General Terms. In races of 200m or less, the wind speed and direction during the race must be recorded, as this information is a factor when validating record claims. The gauge should be placed parallel to the track and at least 50m from the finishing line. If the wind speed exceeds 2m/s in the direction in which the athletes are running, any record time achieved is not valid. The wind speed is not taken into consideration if a record is achieved into a headwind.
