The class of ancient Hebrew writings which deal reflectivelywith general ethical and religious topics, as distinguished from theprophetic and liturgical literature, and from the law. It iscomprised chiefly in the books of Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiasticus,Ecclesiastes, and Wisdom of Solomon.
