The act of vomiting. The term throw up is usually considered [less] [offensive] than [words] such as puke or barf.

Throw up in Shinty. Taken directly after a goal has been scored and to restart a half. The referee starts the game by blowing his whistle and throwing the ball to a minimum height of 12ft between two opposing players who are stood on the center spot.
