Greek hero and boyfriend of [Apollo] until he was killed by a flying [discus] that was blown by the west wind, controlled by the god Zephros, into his head just above his head. A beautiful boy whom the god Apollo loved but killed accidentally with a discus. From his blood Apollo caused the hyacinth to spring up.
