An Egyptian clover (Trifolium alexandrinum) extensivelycultivated as a forage plant and soil-renewing crop in the alkalinesoils of the Nile valley, and now introduced into the southwesternUnited States. It is more succulent than other clovers or thanalfalfa. Called also Egyptian clover.
