Feeling emotional in a gloomy sense, usually about [unrequited love].
Before becoming very common slang it was more often used to describe heterosexual men “[simping]” over a woman. More widely used now.

@Kai I’m pretty sure you’re thinking of Sapping. I have never heard simping used in this manner. However, take my input with a grain of salt.

A male person trying to gain the attention from females with mean/offensive behavior also referred to "Acting" to be tough.
