Its a one version of [hardcore punk] but not so aggressive like old hardcore.Its something like new wave of hardcore in which is a more melody than in old school hardcore. Its often replaced with emo but the lyrics can prove that they are not.
Generally: hardcore vocals,punk guitar,bass and rhythm and much more melody.
Bands: [Rise Against], [Strike Anywhere] , Rex Banner, Waterweed etc.
