Verb. The action of not sharing something meant to be shared, or over-using or consuming something that belongs to someone else. To [hog] something that doesnt belong to you or to take more than your share.
Contrary to the popular belief that the term has something to do with actor [Humphrey Bogart], the term refers to a household fairy of English [folklore], a boggart, that would cause items to disappear.
