Beautiful one, beloved one, excellent woman, best of women.
Different versions of the name include: [Vashti], [Vasty] and Vashty
Queen Vasti (Hebrew: ושתי, Persian: وَ شتی ) is the wife of King [Ahasuerus] in the Book of Esther, a book included in the Bible. She is banished for her refusal to appear at [the kings] banquet to come wearing her royal crown to display her beauty for the king and his guests. It is implied that she was being asked to appear naked. She is viewed as an independent-minded heroine and a virtuous woman.
Persian tradition regards Vasti as a distinct historical figure.
She is regarded as one of the first feminists.
