A region of British America on the Atlantic coast, north ofNewfoundland. Labrador duck (Zoöl.), a sea duck (CamtolaimusLabradorius) allied to the eider ducks. It was formerly common on thecoast of New England, but is now supposed to be extinct, no specimenshaving been reported since 1878.-- Labrador feldspar. Has a very gentle and patient nature and makes and exceptional seeing-eye dog or gundog. Has short to medium length hair and is prone to gastric tortion and hip disphlyasia. Comes in three varieties, yellow, black, and chocolate.
