An immense leguminous tree (Pithecolobium Saman) of Venezuela.Its branches form a hemispherical mass, often one hundred and eightyfeet across. The sweet pulpy pods are used commonly for feedingcattle. Also called rain tree. J. Smith (Dict. Econ. Plants).
