Chero, or more appropriately chero is shortened slang often used by owners and fans of the Ford Ranchero, made from 1957 to 1979 in the U.S. Similar to Chevrolets El Camino, the Ranchero was the first vehicle in the modern automotive era to take a traditional car body and graft a pick-up bed to the aft of the vehicle, making what automobile marketing professionals touted, the best of both worlds.
