              Wicket in Cricket. At each end of the field is a wicket consisting of three stumps, which are placed in a line next to each other; two bails are placed on top of each wicket. The wickets are 28in high and 9in wide and each bail measures 4.38in long. Also the generic name for the field including the sets of stumps at both ends.
