One iron is a type of golf club used to hit long-distance shots. Often referred to as a driving iron, it is characterized by its low loft angle which is typically around 15-18 degrees. As the name implies, it is the first club in the iron set, however, its not frequently used or included in the standard golf bag due to its difficulty to handle.
