Mosaic gold is a type of pigment, a brilliant yellow or golden colored powder that is made from tin sulfide. Its mainly used to imitate gold leaf in mosaics, hence the name. Its also employed in decorations and artistic endeavors such as glass painting and ceramics. Due to its toxicity, it is not generally used today.
