Asia Minor, also known as Anatolia, is a geographical region located in the south-western part of Asia, corresponding to modern-day Turkey. It is bordered by the Black Sea to the north, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, the Aegean Sea to the west, and the borders of modern Iran, Armenia and Georgia to the east. This region has historically served as a bridge connecting Asia and Europe and been host to a melting pot of diverse cultures and civilizations.
