Highly Illegal! The act of shining a [high powered] spotlight into the eyes of an animal (usually deer), causing it to freeze in its tracks. The animal is then [ripe for the picking] by a hunter with a small, quiet rifle. (like a .22) Obviously done at night, mainly by rednecks from [Roseburg], Or. (and Texas, probably.)
