Similar to [withdrawal]. [Hiatusitis] is when something (e.g. a TV show) is on [hiatus] for a while and fans go crazy. Very common among fans of Lost, who start coming up with off-the-wall theories and spending excessive time on fansites such as the Lostpedia forums.
