Blacktail deer

A species of deer belonging to the west coast having a different antler pattern than the whitetail and more like mule deer. [Blacktail deer] are often hunting in harsh conditions and steep terrain. After a successful [blacktail] hunt with deer on their backs hunter will say something like that hike would have killed a whitetail hunter or I wish I could have been one of those [treestand] hunters
