It’s an adjective and it means having the effect of inducing sleep and can be applied to a number of different things, certain [lessons], lectures, speakers, conversations, subjects, books, you get the idea. Anything that can cause you to fall asleep is [dormitive], some things are so dormitive that you start [losing the will to live], yes I know, we’ve all been there.
