Originating on May 9th 2020, Zuni’s Law describes the phenomena where internet users—many of whom have no prior knowledge of the subject—will follow any internet trend or bandwagon, and attempt to reproduce it nonsensically in poor quality. Many instances of this law include theft of other people’s ideas or work and attempts to [rebrand] it under the current trend. Zuni’s Law was established by iFunny user Zuniroa following the observation that many iFunny users began writing their own “laws” following the popularity of [Bidoof’s Law] and [Garf]’s Law. The most famous of these poor-quality laws is [Kes’s Law]. Kes’s Law differentiates itself from [Bidoof]’s and Garf’s laws in its idiocy due to the fact that it’s not an original observation of internet behavior, it’s merely a shoddily-made renaming of the Illusory Truth Effect.
