A small peice of land lost in the middle of the North Sea beteen Scotland and Norway. Famous for: Sheep, ponies, wooly jumpers, puffins, Salmon, Ally Bain.
In the Winter its dark, windy and cold and they celebrate the 'Up-Helly-Aa' festival, or 'Transvestite Tuesday' as it is more commonly known. The constant darkness means the locals never know when its time to stop drinking.
In the summer they celebrate the 'Simmer Dim'. An excess of daylight means the locals never know when its time to stop drinking.
Also used to describe someone who is inbred. -
